Putting is another aspect of golf that is very important and almost anyone can learn how to putt well. The first step is to decide on a mechanical approach to putting and there are many different styles and techniques to choose from however you need to pick one and stay with that main approach until you master it as that is how you will get good at putting and also avoid the yips. The game of putting is primarily a mental challenge but this does not mean that you should not work hard on your stroke as regular practice is still critical in order to become as good as possible. Make sure to stay positive on every putt you hit and keep your mind quiet during the stroke staying sharply focused on the target.
