Tips to Improve Your Golf

One of the most important things golfers are interested in doing is improving their golf swing. If you're dreaming of swinging like Tiger Woods or Vijay Singh you know you're going to need some tips and tricks to help. If you have been struggling with your golf swing or gold slice read the tips that I mention in this article and they should help fix most of your problems for good.

Fixing your golf slice tip 1 - There are many factors which can make you slice the golf ball when you swing. One of the most common reasons I can think off is an improper set up. You need to make sure that your body is aligned perfectly towards your target line when you approach the ball. Make sure that your left shoulder is aligned right at your target. It's highly likely that you are going to end up slicing the ball if your shoulder is even slightly out of alignment.

Fixing your golf slice Tip 2 - Your grip is one the most important aspect you need to get right when you play golf. It is very important to remember to get your grip right. It makes no sense swinging your club if your grip is out of kilter. Try and make sure you can see at least two knuckles on your left hand. If you don't see 2 to 3 knuckles on your left hand your grip is not positioned right. Remember to take your time and find the right grip. Another important part of your grip is grip strength. It's important to find the right balance between tight and loose here. If you don't grip the club tight enough it's going to wobble which will cause your shot to fly off course. But on the other hand if you grip the club too tightly you will not be able to release it quickly enough through your swing.

Fixing Your Golf slice tip 3 - It's important that during your swing you hit the golf ball with a square face. This will ensure that your golf ball will fly straight ahead. This will happen if your hips turn fully through the impact. It often happens that players hit strokes which fly too far too the right. This happens because they don't get full hip rotation through the strike zone. Try and train yourself to finish your swing high as this forces your hips to turn fully. This would prevent you from slicing the ball.

Fixing Your Golf Slice tip 4 - It's a common misconception with a lot of golfers that extra swing speed will cause your ball to gain more distance. This does not work in most cases as this causes your club face to open. This happens because your hands tend to get ahead of your swing. Remember that when your club face opens even slightly your golf ball is going to fly off to the right.

Remember to keep these tips in mind the next time your one the course and you're soon going to be swinging like Tiger Wood and Vijay Singh.
